Agilent Technologies Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., has created a unit within its Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis business. The Materials Sciences Solutions Unit will focus on development of microscopy and optical spectroscopy technologies for electronics, chemical analysis, life sciences and materials testing applications. On May 1, the company transferred its Nanotechnology Div. to the unit.
