Advanced Machine Vision Patents Inspection Technology

MEDFORD, Ore., May 11 -- Advanced Machine Vision Corp. has received a US patent for an infrared optical method for inspecting peel-bearing potatoes. The illumination system enables AMV's proprietary cameras to identify peel-covered defects in a fast-moving stream of potato products using specific light-wave reflections. The new technology may be used for all skin-on potato products, including French fries, dices and wedges. William J.
