Photek Ltd. of St. Leonards on Sea, UK, has been selected to join the European Seventh Framework Programme along with other companies from the Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Spain and the UK. The program, called BioliSME, is intended to develop a system to detect Listeria monocytogenes in agro-food industries. The proposed solution is expected to use fluorescence detection to identify the pathogen rapidly.
