A few weeks ago, I'd highlighted two very important trade shows held in Hong Kong – the China Sourcing Fair at the AsiaWorld Expo and the Hong Kong Electronics Show at the Hong Kong Converntion and Exhibition Center (HKCEC), both of whom have just got over. The organizers of the Hong Kong Electronics Show – Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is the global marketing arm and public service hub for Hong Kong-based manufacturers, traders and service exporters. Its activities are especially geared to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the chief drivers of Hong Kong’s trade. When I received the latest newsletter on LED products, it was full of some very interesting products, some of whom are briefly mentioned here. ERG Ltd., Hong Kong, is offering the Elite LED MR16 light 6W, which uses the latest LED lighting technology based on single-wafer COB LEDs. It features low decay and low ambient temperature with even light intensity. Dimming version should be available soon, according to this supplier. Next, China Direct Exports Inc., from the mainland, is offering inchargable orange LED lights candles. It comes with incharger for different countries and regions. The electronic LED candle lights are completely different from the traditional way to light a candle. The company claims to have adopted a new electronic IC design – the use of energy-efficient LED as a light source to simulate the traditional candle flickering lights. There's also this LED magic bulb from GCI Science & Technology Co. Ltd., China (Guangdong). This magic LED Bulb can be used for common lighting and decoration. It uses three pieces of white color and 1R1G1B high-power and high-brightness LED as the light source. It adopts constant current technology to offer stable output current, reduces the optical decay and equates the brightness, which keeps it working long. Warm white and pure white are available as options. The magic LED bulb has a working voltage of 100-230V AC. Its cover is made of slap-up aluminum alloy, which can accelerate heat dissipation so that the LED bulbs work well. In general, its working life is 30,000-50,000 hours. There are some other nice products such as LED signboard/display from Hong Kong based Adso Corp. Ltd., which uses acrylic material, and decorative LED lamps from Xiamen Leedarson Lighting Co.
