$5 Million Award

A team led by Rice University of Houston has won a three-year grant from the Army Research Office, with funding from DARPA. The group, representing seven universities, will build a simulator to investigate high-temperature superconductivity using ultracold atoms in an optical lattice created with lasers. The $5 million grant is the second phase of funding for this project.
