Optical components company, Innovation Photonics (innpho) was launched in December 2009, by Don Wilson, founder of Special Optics and OFR (Optics for Research). According to Wilson, the focus of innpho is on applications requiring uncommon optics. Currently, mid-IR components are of interest as applications of quantum cascade lasers emerge.
