Third Frontier Funds YSI-UC Team

CINCINNATI, April 13, 2010 — The Ohio Third Frontier Commission has approved a $1,127,873 award to YSI Inc. of Yellow Springs, Riehl Engineering Ltd. of Dayton and the University of Cincinnati (UC) for their “Advanced Modified Carbon Nanotube-Based Nutrient Sensor” project. The venture will produce an improved sensor to enable critical monitoring of environmental waters for nitrate, which is a major pollutant associated with wastewaters and agricultural runoffs.
