Edmund Releases Lab Supplier Catalog

BARRINGTON, N.J., June 3, 2010 — Edmund Optics Inc. announced the release of its latest catalog containing more than 21,000 products ranging from optical and mechanical components to complete laser, testing and imaging systems.

The optical components provider’s catalog cover features its BeamX laser beam expanders, ReflX objectives, kinematic mounts, translations stages and a variety of mechanical and optical components.

Inside, a large selection of reflective objectives is available, including 30 standard options and customized versions, all of which are suitable for FT-IR spectroscopy and microscopy, multispectral imaging and semiconductor/material processing.

kinematic mount
A mount for an optic element or optics assembly, designed so that all six degrees of freedom are singly constrained. This assures that movement will be prevented, while stress will not be introduced into the optics.
The optical element that receives light from the object and forms the first or primary image in telescopes and microscopes. In cameras, the image produced by the objective is the final image. In telescopes and microscopes, when used visually, the image formed by the objective is magnified by an eyepiece.
