Mercury Computer Systems Inc. of Chelmsford,
Mass., and Brit Systems Inc. of Dallas have partnered to integrate and distribute
the latter company’s radiological image management system. Under the agreement,
the Texas company will incorporate its partner’s Visage thin client server
and picture archiving and communications system into its own radiology information
system, allowing it to support 3- and 4-D imaging features in addition to the existing
2-D applications. Mercury also will assist Brit in bringing turnkey products for
clinical and health care institutions to market.
Mercury has made a separate, multiyear
agreement with Koning Corp. of Rochester, N.Y., to provide the medical imaging company
with a server, a workstation and other components for its cone beam CT system.
