Flir Captures 1st Dreamliner Flight

PORTLAND, Ore., July 29, 2010 — Thermal camera maker Flir Systems Inc. captured full high-definition infrared footage last week during the first public flight of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner at the Farnborough International Airshow in Farnborough, England. The video and images were captured by the newly released Star Safire 380-HD, which was launched as part of a line of high-definition sensors. The all-digital system offers up to seven simultaneous payloads as well as full HD capability and 1080P/720P on all video channels, significantly enhancing the imaging spectrum, the company said.
