Optical components provider Edmund Optics Inc. of Barrington,
N.J., has announced that Life Technologies Corp. has awarded its Supplier Excellence
award for optics commodities to Edmund’s Singapore branch. The distinction
acknowledges the division’s performance while providing molded lens arrays,
lens components and lens assemblies to Life Technologies Singapore. It was cited
for outstanding customer service and technical performance, consistency in meeting
deadlines and resolution of manufacturing issues. Life Technologies, based in Carlsbad,
Calif., is a biotechnology tools company formed when Invitrogen Corp. and Applied
Biosystems Inc. combined.
