Imaging and image analysis solutions provider Genetix of New Milton, UK, has received US patent No. 7,776,584, aspects of which have been incorporated into the company’s ClonePix FL, a system used for screening and selection of cell lines producing biopharmaceuticals. Significantly reducing the time and cost associated with recombinant protein generation, the system has been validated for the specific detection of secreted antibodies as well as monomeric, cell surface and intrinsic GFP fusion proteins.
