In Arizona, optical communications and laser solutions provider Oclaro Inc. has opened a design center in Oro Valley, near Tucson. As a Technology Center of Innovation in the Advanced Photonics Solutions division, the facility will provide global customers with specialized diode laser packaging designs. Initially, approximately 30 people will be employed.
