Optek Optoelectronic Components Made Available Through TTI

CARROLLTON, Texas, Nov. 22, 2010 — TT electronics Optek Technology announced its recent franchise agreement partnership with passive, interconnect and discrete components global distributor TTI Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas.

The latter company will now stock and distribute Optek’s comprehensive range of optoelectronic components, including visible LEDs and assemblies, infrared sensors and switches, magnetic sensors, encoders and a range of high-reliability optoelectronic discretes and hybrid assemblies.

“The addition of TTI will enhance Optek’s distribution network in North America as well as globally,” said Bob Taber, president of Optek. “TTI has a proven reputation for effectively reaching new customers while maintaining excellent quality of service for current customers.”

Optek Technology, a division of TT electronics, provides solutions for sensing and illumination covering the infrared, visible and ultraviolet spectrum, as well as for applications in office machines, industrial equipment, encoders, automotive electronics, military and high-reliability applications, medical diagnostic equipment and solid-state lighting.
