Yamada Joins Agilent Board

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 18, 2011 — Dr. Tachi Yamada was recently appointed to the board of directors at Agilent Technologies Inc., the company said.

Yamada currently serves as the president of the Global Health Program of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, a position he has held since June 2006.

Before joining the foundation, Yamada worked for GlaxoSmithKline Inc. and SmithKline Beecham. In addition, he has held positions at both the University of Michigan Medical School and at the University of Michigan Medical Center.

Agilent Technologies is a measurement company that serves the chemical analysis, life sciences, electronics and communications industries.
