The company’s Center features an expert team operating state-of-the-art command and control equipment and highly scalable, secure software applications for managing very large distributed deployments of SunWave systems over a wide geographic area. The software applications offer its utility partners grid reliability and operational benefits that go beyond solar, the company said.
Petra Solar has also opened a showroom to demonstrate its SunWave units mounted on wood, concrete, and aluminum utility and streetlight poles. The showroom includes a demo of the company’s Solar Energy Grid Integration Systems technology, which was developed through a contract with the US Department of Energy. The technology allows it to create solutions that preserve grid stability as the penetration of solar increases.
Petra Solar is a clean technology company that pioneered SunWave, a technology that combines distributed solar energy generation with Smart Grid communications and improved grid reliability features to create comprehensive utility grade solution.
