Irvine Sensors Reduces Workforce
Vision systems company Irvine
Sensors Corp. of Costa Mesa, Calif., has streamlined its operations through a 19
percent reduction in its work-force. Organizational realignment has been completed,
and the company expects it to produce initial annualized expense reductions in excess
of $1.4 million. The reduction will consist primarily of staff not fully used in
support of the current product and revenue focus. The savings are likely to be temporary,
however, as the company plans to expand its product-specific marketing staff during
the current fiscal year.
