Schott Launches Glass Tubing Contest

MITTERTEICH, Germany, May 2, 2011 — Schott-Rohrglas GmbH has launched an Internet-based contest that encourages participants to submit design ideas using nonround glass tubing. A video that explains the contest is available on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-3phdaSyFE). Under the motto “Open Innovation” — the first project of its kind at Schott — participants are encouraged to submit ideas for new applications and products using the company’s proprietary Profile Tubing Conturax Pro.
