Corning CEO Touts ‘Exciting’ Year

CORNING, N.Y., May 5, 2011 — At Corning Inc.’s annual meeting last week, CEO Wendell P. Weeks said 2010 was an “outstanding year” for the company, driven largely by sales of its Gorilla Glass, which tripled its sales over 2009. Weeks said the company is financially strong, reporting first-quarter sales of $1.9 billion and growth in all business segments.
