Miniaturization technologies provider Tessera Technologies Inc. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Tessera Inc. has filed a complaint against Sony Corp. in the California State Court alleging breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and seeking declaratory relief. The company said its breach of contract suit is distinct from the patent infringement suit Tessera Inc. brought against Sony Corp., Sony Electronics Inc. and Renesas Electronics Corp. in the US District Court of Delaware in October 2010.
