Trumpf Reports High Earnings
Trumpf Ltd. of Luton, UK,
reported more than 300 attendees at its In-Tech open house in March and receipt
of £5 million (~$8 million) in orders for its machines. The company said that
March will be its highest earnings month ever. When compared with March 2010, its
order intake increased by 50 percent. Besides success with new machines and services,
it has sold 20 of its refurbished units as a result of a formal cooperation with
refurbishing specialist Severn Manufacturing Systems. This initiative has contributed
more than £2.5 million to turnover at Trumpf, a manufacturer of production
and medical technology for sheet metal processing, laser-based production processes,
electronic applications and hospital equipment.
