G. Ferris Lipscomb, vice president of marketing at NeoPhotonics Corp., presented a talk at the Optoelectronics Industry Development Association (OIDA) workshop on “Photonic Integration for High Capacity Data Transport,” held yesterday in tandem with the Optical Society of America’s Advanced Photonics Congress, the company announced.

Lipscomb presented a talk titled “Performance of Photonic Integrated Circuits for Coherent Data Transmission” at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto.

NeoPhotonics offers a range of components based on photonic integrated circuits for high-capacity data transport networks, including intradyne coherent receivers and 90° hybrid coherent mixers for both 40- and 100-Gb/s coherent transmission systems, as well as both small- and standard-form-factor DQPSK demodulators for 40-Gb/s transmission.
