Solyndra Eligible for BIPV Tariff

BAAR, Switzerland, June 17, 2011 — Solyndra International AG, which designs and manufactures cylindrical photovoltaic systems for large commercial rooftops, has announced that its 200 series is eligible for the French simplified building integrated solar photovoltaic (BIPV) tariff. This designation is based on its unique design and its synergy with rooftop construction. The self-ballasted, nonattached systems meet with previous wind and fire standards and can withstand winds up to 208 km/h on slightly tilted rooftops.
