Multispectral imaging systems provider FluxData Inc. of Rochester, N.Y., has licensed Patent No. 7554586 titled “System and Method for Scene Image Acquisition and Spectral Estimation Using a Wide-Band Multi-Channel Image Capture,” from Rochester Institute of Technology. Developed at the Munsell Color Science Lab at the institute, the technology will allow FluxData to develop low-cost, highly color accurate camera systems for a range of markets, including defense, security, surveillance, entertainment, medical and life sciences, industrial vision and agriculture.
