DuPont Acquires Innovalight, Expands Solar Energy

WILMINGTON, Del., Aug. 1, 2011 — To position itself as a leader in materials for the solar energy market, DuPont has acquired Innovalight Inc. of Sunnyvale, Calif., a provider of advanced silicon inks and process technologies that increase the efficiency of crystalline silicon solar cells. Silicon inks from DuPont Innovalight boost the amount of electricity produced from sunlight, enabling the production of superior selective emitter solar cells.
