UA College of Optical Sciences Names New Dean

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 1, 2011 — Optoelectronics expert Thomas L. Koch has been chosen to replace James C. Wyant as dean of the College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona. Koch, director of the Center for Optical Technologies at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., will serve as the second dean of the college, formerly the Optical Sciences Center. Koch's term will begin on Jan. 1, 2012. Wyant has served 13 years as both director and dean of the college.
