Avo Photonics to Package Products
Avo Photonics of Horsham, Pa., a Halma company, was selected by PulseTor Inc., a Pennington, N.J., provider of detectors, preamplifiers and digital pulse processors, to advance the performance, packaging and production of the latter company’s next-generation silicon photomultiplier (SiPM)-based detectors. The Sprite line of SiPM-based detector assemblies is used in electron imaging applications. The measurement requirements and high-vacuum operating environment that are characteristic of these applications impose challenging packaging constraints. Avo Photonics’ solution supports optional low-temperature operation without the use of active cooling, while providing vacuum compatibility and a minimal package size.
