The agreement outlines a range of activities on which the two associations will collaborate, including an exchange of market data. They also will provide mutual support for trade shows and technical conferences and promote member companies and global standards.

One of the first activities AIA will support in South Korea is the KMVIA’s first trade show, The Korea Vision Show, on April 3-6, 2012, in Seoul. AIA will participate in a booth and lead a delegation of industry executives interested in doing business in Korea.

Jeff Burnstein, president of the AIA, and Hong-ki Baek, chairman of the KMVIA board, signed the agreement.

The collaboration was announced in early November during the AIA networking reception at Vision 2011 in Stuttgart, Germany.
