Goodrich Corp. of Charlotte, N.C., has received an order from Roketsan Missiles Industries Inc. of Ankara, Turkey, for its SiIMU02 inertial measurement units (IMUs). The devices, which will be produced at Goodrich’s Plymouth, UK, plant, will facilitate precision guidance of Roketsan’s new CIRIT 70-mm laser-guided missiles for attack helicopters. The CIRIT is one of the first in its class to incorporate the inertial sensing unit package. The order follows the qualification and customization of the SiIMU02 package for CIRIT in 2011. Goodrich supplies systems and services to the aerospace, defense and homeland security markets.
