Thomas C. Leonard has been appointed chief accounting officer and chief financial officer of Dynasil Corp. of America of Watertown, Mass. Previously, he served as chief financial officer at Pennichuck Corp. of Nashua, N.H., for four years. Patent and licensing veteran Bernard J. “Barney” Cassidy has succeeded Richard Chernicoff as president of Tessera Intellectual Property Corp., a division of Tessera Technologies Inc. of San Jose, Calif. Cassidy joined Tessera Technologies in 2008 as its general counsel and will continue in that role. Optical fiber manufacturer Fiberguide Industries Inc. of Stirling, N.J., has named Ronald M. Kramer as business development manager for the eastern US and Canada. Medical device maker Infraredx Inc. of Burlington, Mass., has appointed Michael Guarasci as chief financial officer. Edmund Optics of Barrington, N.J., has promoted Samuel Sadoulet to the position of chief operating officer.
