BURNABY, British Columbia, Canada, June 24, 2013 — Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) has expanded its Burnaby office and is looking to recruit five engineers, the FireWire and GigE machine vision camera maker announced recently.

The 1200-sq-ft expansion will accommodate an expanding R&D team, which the company hopes to increase to more than 50 employees by the end of 2013. The company currently employs 40 people in Canada.

“AVT has ambitious growth plans at its various worldwide locations to meet the strong demand for its high-quality machine vision cameras, said President and CEO Frank Grube. “With both R&D and manufacturing, the Burnaby site has a strategic role in that respect.”

AVT also has R&D centers in Ahrensburg and Osnabrück, both in Germany.
