UK student honored for outstanding paper

Johannes von Lindeiner has been awarded the 2014 Corning Outstanding Student Paper Competition top prize by the OSA Foundation and Corning Inc. A student at the University of Cambridge in England, von Lindeiner was one of six finalists selected from nearly 350 submissions. His paper, “100 Gb/s Uncooled DWDM using Orthogonal Coding for Low-cost Datacommunication Links,” was judged on innovation, research excellence and presentation.
