FotoNation Ltd. is collaborating with Socionext Inc., a Japanese manufacturer of system-on-chip design technology, to bring next-generation computational imaging to the surveillance, robotics and drone markets. The partnership will use FotoNation’s Advanced Hardware for Image Processing system, which achieves high video image stabilization, smart geometric correction for large-field-of-view lenses, face detection and tracking results. The system includes increased distance-to-subject performance and detection angle precision, with wide-angle lens support and native motion detection.
