Xenics Cameras ITAR-Free in US

LEUVEN, Belgium, Aug. 1, 2016 — Imaging solutions developer Xenics has been granted commodity jurisdiction approval for many of its International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)-restricted IR cameras, making all SWIR cameras in the U.S. supplied by Xenics ITAR-free.

Xenics can now broaden their position in the North American market and support educational and research institutes throughout the entire country without limitations by the ITAR restrictions.

"This is important news for all public organizations who want to benefit from SWIR technology,” said Hervé Copin, CEO of Xenics USA. “The commodity jurisdiction approval grants accessibility to both U.S. citizens and foreign researchers and engineers that are working with ITAR-restricted cameras.”

Xenics designs and markets IR imagers, cores and cameras for R&D, industrial automation, machine vision, process control and high-end security applications.
