Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Joins Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing
COBHAM, England, Feb. 2, 2017 — Metrology solutions provider Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Inc. has joined the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) industry organization in Disputanta, Va., as an affiliate member and will hold a seat on its Technology Advisory Council.
CCAM is an applied research center providing solutions in adaptive automation, surface engineering and additive manufacturing. The organization provides production-ready advanced manufacturing solutions to member companies across the globe. Its members guide the research, leveraging talent and resources within CCAM and at Virginia’s top universities. Hexagon will participate in CCAM research and provide expertise in optical noncontact 3D measuring systems for industrial manufacturing applications.

Hexagon will contribute its expertise, as well as the AICON StereoScan neo 3D scanner and a DPA photogrammetry system. The optical, portable solutions are noncontact 3D measuring systems used to enable efficient, high-precision monitoring, quality assurance and control in manufacturing production.
