Wen Joins CST Global

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 21, 2017 — Optoelectronic semiconductor foundry Compound Semiconductor Technologies Global Ltd. (CST Global) has appointed Alex Wen as its China country manager.

Alex WenWen will serve as the country’s exclusive agent for CST, with responsibility for growing OEM, distribution and contract manufacturing sales.

“Alex is a well-respected figure in the Chinese photonics market, with over 15 years of opto-electronics experience,” said Euan Livingston, vice president of sales and marketing at CST Global. “We are pleased to welcome Alex to the CST Global team. His appointment is essential to supporting our continuing rapid expansion in this region, supporting record sales of lasers into PON [passive optical network] and GPON [gigabyte passive optical network] markets, and massive growth in silicon photonic devices.”

Prior to his appointment by CST Global, Wen held senior sales management roles at major international companies including CyOptics Inc., Avnet Inc. and ComStar Communication Inc. He received a degree in telecommunication engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology.

CST Global is a developer of cutting-edge chips, components, modules and subsystems based on proprietary advanced semiconductor technology in microwave, millimeter wave and optical semiconductors.
