Waldmann Lighting, the U.S.-based North American subsidiary of Herbert Waldmann GmbH & Co. KG, has announced that David Vrioni has joined the company as president. Former president Jan Schaefer announced her retirement in 2017 after a career of over 30 years with the company, and has been working to ensure a smooth transition. Vrioni comes to Waldmann with a background in operations, sales and marketing, product development, design engineering, quality management, supply chain and sourcing, having spent over thirty years in the manufacturing sector. He led a successful professional lighting company for the last 11 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University. Waldmann Lighting develops workplace-oriented luminaires for industrial, office, architectural and health care applications.
