Blackbird, Intech Bolster Partnership in Japan

Laser welding technology developer Blackbird Robotersysteme GmbH (Blackbird Robotics) will use Intech Co. Ltd. as its sales agent in Japan, providing customers with all-in-one welding solutions that include the laser source, a premium scan system, and a control system.

The intensified partnership will also support the company’s presence at the 2018 Japan International Welding Show. The offerings provide users with configurable, individual welding solutions for flexible and efficient manufacturing processes. Japan’s manufacturing industry needs robot-assisted laser welding systems to increase flexibility, process safety, and productivity for fields such as the automotive industry.

“Market feedback is very positive, and Japanese customers confirm the high quality of Blackbird products,” said Yukihiro Okumura, president of Intech. “We are very pleased with the fruitful cooperation and look forward to continuing this long-term partnership.”

Blackbird Robotics manufactures system solutions for remote laser welding with scanning optics. Intech is a sales organization that serves Japan’s photonics industry.
