ADC, Image Wireless Sign Contract Extension
SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, Sept. 20 -- ADC has signed a $10 million contract extension with Image Wireless Communications. ADC will continue to provide its Axity Broadband Wireless Access System, a carrier-class solution that sets up two-way services to both urban and rural areas. Image Wireless Communications furnishes wireless digital cable and data service to more than 95 percent of the population of Saskatchewan, covering more than 300,000 square kilometers.
We are quite pleased with this contract extension, as it demonstrates Image Wireless' continued faith in ADC and its Axity platform, said John Griffin, president of ADC's Broadband Wireless Group. The Axity system will provide Image Wireless with one of the strongest, most dependable and innovative solutions available in the world.
With our digital video service fully deployed, our next goal is to extend high-speed Internet services across Saskatchewan, said Kim South, vice president and CEO of Image Wireless Communications.
ADC provides network equipment, software and integration services to communications service providers worldwide. The company's US operations are located in Minnetonka, Minn.
