Spectron Laser Systems has teamed up with German specialists GWU to provide a comprehensive range of optical parametric oscillators that provide all-solid state tunability from 200nm to 4µm. The Compact-Q is a sufficient pump laser, but when an SL400-800 series YAG laser is used the pump and the OPO can be integrated on the same invar rail chassis, providing for stable alignment and a minimum footprint, and no need for the extra cost of separate optical tables, said Spectron Laser Systems. All OPOs are manually tuned by micrometer but prepared for motorized upgrade. Motorized units are supplied with Windows-based software. All models employ a synchronously tuned compensator prism for constant beam pointing of the signal wave as the OPO wavelength is tuned.
