Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), a global industry association, announced the appointment of Arthur Robert Greenberg to the newly created position of president of SEMI North America. In his new role, Greenberg reports to SEMI president and CEO, Stanley T. Myers, and will be responsible for directing SEMI activities and programs in North America.
    Global Opticom, a manufacturer of fiber optic passive components, announced that Raymond Niedzwiecki has joined the company as chief operating officer. In his new position Niedzwiecki is responsible for the strategic day-to-day operations of the company.
    nBand Communications Inc., a broadband access technology company, announced that Neal Margulis, CEO of AON Networks and former president and CEO of iCompression, has joined the company's board of directors. Prior to AON Networks, Margulis was president and CEO of iCompression, a developer of voice and video CODEC technology for the broadband and consumer markets.
