2 Join Lighting Science Group to Lead Operations in Europe

Lighting Science Group Corp. of New York, a provider of LED-based architectural, display, landscape and residential lighting products, today announced plans to establish operations in Europe. Hired to manage those operations, the company said, were Peter Earle and John Lyons, cofounders of Vivid Effect, the European division of LED Effects Inc. of Rancho Cordova, Calif., a manufacturer of custom LED lighting products. Earle will lead Lighting Science Group's business development efforts and Lyons will oversee systems solutions. "Pete and John are pioneers in the LED lighting space and have established themselves as extremely knowledgeable industry leaders with the architectural lighting and design communities in Europe. We welcome them to Lighting Science Group and look forward to their continued leadership and contribution as we grow our business presence in Europe," said Govi Rao, chairman and CEO of Lighting Science Group.
