3-D Prototyping Web App Offered by Creabis

MUNICH, Dec. 5 2014 — Creabis 3-D configuratorCreabis GmbH now offers rapid laser-based 3-D printing prototyping and manufacturing through a new Web application.

Its 3-D configurator can be integrated into websites to help companies offer customized products. The Web browser application allows users without CAD experience to configure the size and design of a component by using simple feature lists. An example can be found at OKW Gehausesysteme GmbH’s website, www.concept-case.com.

After the design is complete, the final STL file is transferred to Creabis for fabrication, and the customer receives the object after two or three days.

Creabis owns several 3-D printers for laser sintering, stereolithography, PolyJet and fused deposition modeling. The company also offers post-processing, including metal coating, coloring or varnishing.
