Oclaro Inc. of San Jose, Calif., an optical communications and laser solutions provider, has made a $7.5 million strategic investment in ClariPhy Communications of Irvine, Calif., a privately held fabless semiconductor company that focuses on digital signal processing and mixed-signal integrated circuits for high-speed, next-generation networks. The companies also have signed a marketing and development agreement that leverages ClariPhy’s 40-nm single-chip products with Oclaro’s optical technology.
