AIM Photonics Appoints Tod A. Laursen Chair of Leadership Council

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 12, 2021 — Tod A. Laursen will serve as chair of the AIM Photonics Leadership Council. The council is focused on the strategic and technical direction of AIM Photonics.

In the position, Laursen will hold leadership and oversight responsibilities, including direct engagement with industry and government stakeholders, strategic planning and management, and the guiding of photonics-enabled innovation. Laursen has served in leadership roles at the State University of New York, and he was the founding president of Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates.

Laursen replaces Robert Duffy in the role.
