AdvanTech, Quanergy Partner to Build Lidar-Based Solutions

AdvanTech Service-IoT GmbH, an industrial computing solutions developer, and Quanergy Systems Inc., a producer and developer of lidar sensors and smart perception technology, announced their collaboration to build lidar-enabled 3D Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The collaboration, the companies said in shared releases, will support smart city technological solutions and logistics.

By pairing technology produced by the companies, the partnership will support the production of anonymity-ensuring, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)-compliant solutions for people counting and tracking, occupancy, and distance monitoring. Applications for the technology, as well as for existing portfolio items developed by the partners, include autonomous vehicle operation, industrial manufacturing, and logistics.
