Advanced Photonix Buys Picometrix
A global supplier of silicon-based optoelectronic products to OEM customers, Advanced Photonix Inc. of Camarillo, Calif., has acquired Picometrix Inc. of Ann Arbor, Mich.
Picometrix manufactures ultrahigh-speed photoreceivers for the telecommunications, data communications and test-and-measurement markets, as well as terahertz instrumentation for science, industry and national security. Its expertise in III-V semiconductor materials GaAs and InP will provide Advanced Photonix with added optoelectronic sensing materials.
