Affymetrix Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., has signed two agreements with Sysmex Corp. of Kobe, Japan. The first grants the latter exclusive rights to distribute Affymetrix microarray products in Japan and, eventually, to expand coverage to other Asia-Pacific nations. The second gives Sysmex access to the American company’s microarray technology for development of in vitro diagnostic tests.
