In California, Affymetrix Inc. of Santa Clara has selected Pathwork Diagnostics Inc. of Sunnyvale to offer a molecular diagnostic test for cancer, based on its microarray platform. The test, titled “Tissue of Origin,” is designed to help oncologists determine the primary site of a metastatic tumor with greater certainty.
