Allan Kreutzer was recently named vice president of global sales at Edmund Optics, a Barrington, N.J.-based optics, imaging and photonics technology provider for research, electronics, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical and military markets. A 30-year veteran of the optics industry, he was formerly vice president of sales and marketing at Lambda Research Corp., where he managed the team handling the company’s optical design and illumination analysis software products. Previously, he was vice president and director of marketing and sales at Schott Glass Technologies. He also spent 22 years at Heraeus Amersil, a maker of fused quartz and fused silica products,  most recenty as vice president of North America business development. In addition to his domestic sales management experience, Kreutzer has made frequent and extensive trips to Europe and to Asia Pacific-Rim countries to work with customers, coordinate marketing plans and improve the effectiveness of regional offices. He has a BS in chemical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA in marketing from Seton Hall University.
